The CRTL contains functions that convert date and time information for a locale-specific format: strftime() - converts date and time information in a tm structure to a text string strptime() - converts a text string to a tm structure These functions return or accept era name strings when a locale alternative representation is requested. This ECO kit provides updated locale data files which allow the CRTL functions to work correctly with the new era name. 5.1.2 Images and/or Files Affected: [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_DECKANJI.LOCALE [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_DECKANJI2000.LOCALE [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_EUCJP.LOCALE [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_SDECKANJI.LOCALE [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_SJIS.LOCALE 5.1.3 Bugzilla cases documenting this change: VSI Bugzilla 2357 5.1.4 Release Version of VSI OpenVMS that will contain this change: Next VSI OpenVMS for Integrity Servers release after V8.4-2L1 6 PROBLEMS ADDRESSED FROM PREVIOUS KITS None 7 IMAGES OR FILES REPLACED: [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_DECKANJI.LOCALE Checksum (MD5): 3CF761D3142F584D427B68F048FD45D9 [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_DECKANJI2000.LOCALE Checksum (MD5): 738CAD5F49D51CBF12E5B12DC2FBAD4B [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_EUCJP.LOCALE Checksum (MD5): D97582BADAF86EB6821F5220A9D041EB [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_SDECKANJI.LOCALE Checksum (MD5): 24CC9A7B707C2137AB2E8FA1790AFE59 [SYS$I18N.LOCALES.SYSTEM]JA_JP_SJIS.LOCALE Checksum (MD5): 52FEDDE5F655345BAA32FA429FA06A0D Note: VMS Software, Inc. will only distribute kits in signed form.
